This week’s summer heat wave in Paris left french fashion designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus fleeing to the countryside to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his label. In the small town of Valensole in Provence, set in the middle of the regions dreamy rolling lavender fields, both male and female models walked a fuchsia runway.
Jacquemus grew up in the South of France in the small town of Mallemort. At 19 he dropped out of school, and by 20 he launched his own brand Jacquemus, his mother’s maiden name. Nine years have gone by and he now has many successful women’s and men’s collections, along with shoes and handbags. Yes, he’s only 29!
SSENSE did a great piece about Simon Porte Jacquemus and his creative development:

Keep up the great work, Jacquemus!
