The temperatures have officially dropped in New York City, and people are bundled up in such a way that it literally conceals their identity. It is hard to keep warm during the winter months, and the world of high fashion knows it. That’s why designers are taking it up a notch this year.
Take the Moncler Genius collection as an example. This February, Moncler collaborated with designers like Richard Quinn, Simone Rocha, and Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli to create an aesthetic that has never been done before – a puffed couture ensemble.
Not only do these designs look incredibly warm, they are a dream of color and dimension. This collection looks as if the Renaissance and Louis XIV’s Versailles met, had a baby, and moved to the Arctic. What’s more fabulous than that?
