Witch Brew: Immune System Boost

There is nothing more important than keeping your mind and body healthy, especially during stressful times. Before everyone was quarantined, city dwellers would start their day at places like Juice Generation or Juice Press buying wellness shots for a whopping $10 each. The Chic Void thinks that is crazy, and wants to show you a way to make wellness shots at home that will boost your immune system and keep your physical body buzzing so that your mind stays strong.

The below recipe yields about 2 servings (half mug/cup each), but The Chic Void recommends you double, triple or quadruple the recipe so that you yield a giant jug of this Witch Brew. If you end up with a lot, it will last for a week or more, so you can pour out shots each morning and take them to jump start your day.

1 cup water

¼-1/2 tsp. turmeric (can be raw and grated, or powder)

¼-1/2 tsp. ginger (can be raw and grated, or powder)

¼-1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Black pepper – add to activate turmeric (eyeball this)

Half lemon – squeeze in

Honey (bonus points if you use Manuka Honey)

Apple Cider Vinegar  – 3 tbs. or more (you can’t overdue it)

Bring water to a boil, add ingredients, lower heat and stir with whisk for a couple minutes. If you are using Manuka Honey, don’t add that until the pan is off the burner. If you are using regular/organic honey, you can add that in with the rest of the ingredients.
